Winner of the RCD 2010 Creative Writing Contest

Congratulation to Zaynah Khan, winner of the RCD 2010 Creative Writing Contest. Zaynah is a Grade 9 student of R.C. Palmer Secondary School. Her essay received tremendous commendation from judges as the best expression of the contest theme in highlighting 25 years of service to Richmond and all the achievements originating from promoting accessibility and participation of people with disabilities.

The first runner up is Jenny Li, a grade 10 student of Richmond Secondary School. Her essay inspired all our judges with her in-depth understanding and appreciation of diversity and people with different abilities.

We congratulate Zaynah and Jenny for their good work, and most important of all, their role in promoting accessibility to Richmond and building an all inclusive and accessible community.
